Recent Haulin'

So I'm fully aware I've been AFK since about Thursday but what can I say? Sometimes life gets in the way and not gonna lie I kind of lost my posting streak but I'm back with a few bits which I've been dying to investigate and rave about for weeks but waited till I had a decent amount of stuff to compile into one post.

On the makeup front; we've got a bit of splurge and save going on. I've been dying to get my hands on a new highlighter recently and so why not delve into the much raved about world of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks? I picked mine up in the shade Beige as it was steering away from that golden highlight I can't seem to get away from and offers a little bit of pink. Still on the shimmer front, I decided to order the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette which is absolutely lovely. It's a more in your face kinda version of your standard Urban Decay Naked Palette and I love it. The matte orangey tones are right up my street for this time of year.

Now, although I do love me a good powder bronzer, I've decided to try and tip toe into the world of cream contouring and all that and so without breaking the bank, I've given it a go with the Bourjois Bronzing Primer and using it for everything it isn't! Still, a great product that I've actually enjoyed for a more natural day along with some watercolour blush.

Still on that drugstore kick, I picked up the ever so famous Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. Not much to say that hasn't been said; just an easy, breezy, everyday concealer. Love it.

Crawling a bit higher up the price ladder, I picked up another Beauty Blender as mine is looking a bit worse for wear. Although getting a new one did make me realise I'm definitely more of a Real Techniques Complexion Sponge kinda gal, so that was a bit of a waste...unlike picking up a Brow Wiz. I only bought this as I ran out of my Soap and Glory Archery Pencil and thought why not? And I'm ever so glad I did. Waxier and harder to work in formula but outstanding in staying power, although still unsure as to which I prefer...I'll have to keep you updated.

Finally on the skincare front; a little bit of Lush and a little bit of The Body Shop. The Lush purchases were long awaiting and I was so excited to get my hands on these two.The Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser and the Eau Roma Water Toner are a match made in perfect smelling heaven. I'm head over heels for both these products. I knew I'd love the cleanser as I used to be a massive fan of Herbalism and weirdly enough loved the texture of it. The spritzer is also a huge hit as I feel like it's not only a toner but a good makeup setter.

The Body Shop bits were pretty unexpected but I felt like experimenting. I was getting a bit tired of my Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser as I've been using it for years and couldn't resist this citrusy number. The Vitamin C Moisturiser has been everywhere for months and now I've decided to pick it up. I've also gone with the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil as I'm running out of my Purity and wont be able to pick it up for a while. I tried this one out today and I must say it works just as well as Purity for a prettier penny. So who knows, some changes might be made?

That's all for my haul round up, it may seem excessive but hey it's been a couple of stressful weeks, a girl needs to treat herself!

Tell me what you guys have been picking up and as always, until the next post,

Deanna
